Hi, I've just recently purchased some S5 door trimmings with the speaker grills on the corners. I know that the S4 Door does not have the speaker mountings, so there for I would possibly have to cut or do some type of modification to it :-k

I've taken pictures and sourced out some other pictures on the internet of both door series and their differences which seem almost identical and I haven’t really found a guide on how to go about this hence why I am posting this.

So if anyone has done this or if they can be a bit of help on how to go about this it would be really much appreciated.

Here is a picture of my S4 door and where the speaker is apparently meant to go... sooo yeahh any help please?

You definitely can't put them there. The window channel is right in the centre. I know the s2 front speakers are in the kick panels. On the s4 if they mount in the location you showed in the pic, then they must be real small and mount on the panel?? What size do they look like? 4 , 5 or 6"??

Factory s5 are 6" and use a plastic spacer that is probably 1-2 inches thick

Go to Mazda I guess and order them or make something out of ply that will suit your needs

For some reason my s4 had a s5 drivers door looked like it was replaced by Mazda from the original owner  so driver door I just bolted on cos I also have s5 trim in mine as well

I have 6.5" splits in my doors so for the passengers side I just bolted on a mdf spacer where i wanted the speaker then started cutting

The window channel is in the way but I just modified mine and cut the window glider a little short and it still holds in place where it's clips in behind the mirror
It's just a fc so start chopping look at it as weight reduction
