im with ido9s, as he said 6x9 are a waist of money good for domestic noise but other than that they are rubish for big power.
i have sound stream front splits in the doors and the tweeters in the air vents. all that freqency is up front and as he said .
body dendning is important also my rear q pannels have it doors, roof, floor, even behind the dash,

putting together a sound system is like a jigsaw puzzle, the less pieces the easier it is, keeping it simple with front splits (hey even a good quality coaxial will do fine) and a sub, 4ch amp and headunit, it is only a small car.

you will really struggle to fit 6" in the kicks and still have foot room to drive the car, a set of 4" will be fine with a 10" sub, just have the high pass filter set around 120-150hz so they dont shit themselves, as some else said, dont laugh, a good set of 4's will go hard (i had some RF 4" splits many yrs ago i paid $750 for and they were awesome), if you want more midbass then go for some bass engines under the front seats, they will give you the impression of mid bass (and it works a treat), putting a 10" sub into the corner of the boot will help load it up (if you have the sub facing to or away a corner they will give better results than just 1 surface, thats why many sub boxes are in angled boxes, Not just for the fact that they sit better behind a rear seat).

another easy way to think of car stereo's is when you got a concert you pay to watch it, all the sound comes from the front and you get an ambience (echo) from the rear, same as your system in your car should sound.

a mate of mine put it to me this way many years ago.....

which way do your ears face when your sitting in the car? Last time i checked mine faced forward, so the front end is the most important part of the stereo. Spend the time getting the staging right, do it properly and use some nice components. 6x9's are a waste of time and are the worst speaker on the market.

I have some Boston FS60's (yes they are old ;) ) a Vibe 12" sub and an Audison SRX3 amp and it sounds really nice :D

Run a nice quality set of 6' splits up front. Sound deaden the doors properly and 1 x 12 sub in the back of the car and thats all you would ever need in something this small. Anything else is just over kill for a nice street car.

check out http://www.fhrxstudios.com.au for more inspiration :D

Sounds like a great setup, obviously setup by someone in the know  The vibe stuff is still pretty new for me, we sell it at work and seems ok. That amp you have is awesome, I've just gotten some Hertz (sister company to Audison) hi-energy 6" splits, which I'm going to do a custom glass door lay up in my 626 in when I get some time. Running off an old DLS 4 ch I've got lying around from years ago should sound brillant, I'd love the bit One and a LRx 5.1 amp, but it's a daily and I wasn't going to go silly just want something what wasn't AM radio... gets outta hand really easy..
