Crap! Why pump out the guards so ridiculously far when you're not using it for extra tyre width though? :? The entire wheel sits outside the original bodywork! I'd have though it'd make it a bit interesting to steer with such a wide rear track, especially when it's so much wider than the front? And what's he running for suspension/diff in the back of it? Or does he just have 40cm thick wheel spacers?

Yep what I was thinking, not much tyre under the guards at all. Be handling inspired Id say.

That back window looks like a Mariah Mode 4 kit.

Shouldn't be any harder than any other car imported under the pre-1989 (previously 15-yr) rules. Used to hear that the $1000-mark would do it easily but Im not so sure.

AFAIK (I've never done it myself)
Australian-standard:
Seatbelts
Exterior rear-view mirror glass
Fuel filler neck
Tyres, and,
Intrusion bars fitted to the doors.

The criteria for that depends on the state you're in. In SA it means putting the car back to stock - which could be difficult with the silver one.

P.S revolution7 -> Love your car, looks like a nice little weekend weapon!

It'd be very tempting, if a little expensive, to buy one of them and get it complianced if that's the case. I'd imagine having to put the silver one back to stock would make it too much work though.
Cheers [Catch Me] should be more fun with new engine in!

That looks awesome. Love it how the backdrop is blurry yet the car is crisp. Almost looks fake.

Great find.

That radiator / ducting / bonnet combo would be worth its weight in gold for a circuit car. That's almost exactly what i'll be doing, just got to find somewhere to buy a bonnet like that over here!! Anyone ??

It's a bit hard to tell from the pics, but it looks from the underneath like it might be a standard bonnet cut out with the scoop fibreglassed in? I think 13beef was selling some quite similar bonnets though if you're looking for one.

I will be making a mould off of this bad boy in the not too distant future. Vented bonnets will be back...
