The relay for the coils:
85- The ignition ON wire (must have power when the car is cranking also).
30- Constant power ( must be fused 15A).
87- Goes to the coils (+)

The ignition barrel with extra wire came on the last of 323 wagons.They look very similar to RX3/808

This post has been proper useful as have done the same mod as multirotor, installing an Rx7 electronic dizzy to what was originally a twin dizzy 10A.
The main difference from sim_rx3's post is that on UK models, the black/white wire (IGN 1) is just black, and there is a 6th wire as multirotor identified. This additional wire (black and white) only has power when the key is out or at the lock position. Looking at the wiring diagram I have, it seems this is a feed for for the clock, interior light, and cigarette lighter so they also work when the car is off or key is out. They must take power from a different route when the ignition is at ACC or ON. Clearly there are other ways to wire this up such that these accessories have power at all ignition switch positions, hence not all models having this wire. Anyway, that's my meagre contribution.
