well I love 4.77's :bounce:

I just took the capella for a test drive with the new gears and wow it boogies, I love it.

I bought some semi slicks today but not for the capella  They're 225/50/16 for the rx7, but at $280 for a set of quite good A048's I'm a happy chappy.

this was a gopro hd on 720p @ 30fps facing forward. gopro standard facing backward. nokia mobile phone, 5hz blutooth gps and racechrono for data logging. racechrono2avi converts the data into speed and track display, then use video editing software to cut the 3 videos files together and sync them.

Looking fantastic guys. Good stuff. I will endeavour to make it to the 9th of May event. Waiting on a few bits and pieces to arrive. Never been to Sandown before! Fc will hopefully be all go! Tyres being a bastard expensive thing I need!

EDIT: Markov is so fast wherever he goes. That E36 puts so many cars to shame!

As a reference for you John Bowe qualified the Ford Sierra in 1:14.70 @ Sandown in 1992. 680bhp and 1150kg car ;)

That M3 makes 410rwkw according to the owner when a mate of mine spoke to him on that day 1:16.7 lap time.

Yeah he' quick. Which m3 was he in? He had been driving a black primered one owned by a bloke called Colin Joss. May've been painted white.... non turbo, standard bodywork etc. Has done sub 1.30 at Winton. Then there's a white and green widebody turbo one owned by Nolan.... and a chev powered 318I that has also gone as quick- Bullivant.

Righto. It,s an awesome looking car. Big dollars. Perry Bullivants carby chev 318i and Colin Joss's M3 are both quicker around Winton. Joss's steered by Markov. This car runs a mildly worked over m3 motor while the chev is supposedly 700hp! I couldn't help but laugh at the melb 'workshop" boys look of disbelief when they gotg smashed by 6sec a lap by these two beemers!

Been told it cost nearly double that to build! Dunno how true that is. Nolan has had a lot of nice cars over the years- e36 m3, z3M, Makkinen Evo, ex Gibson display R32 Gtr (bought off Markov, was in zoom years ago) late model 911and then the widebody M3. Always beaten by Markov though.

Alright, I'm pretty much on track for the sprint on 9/5/10!

I had to fix my rear uni as it was flogged out and had to have it re-balanced - all good now.

I do still have to work on my tune though, be nice to have that little bit of extra power. I'm currently running 11.5-12 AFR's across the board. I'd like it a bit leaner, but don't want to go pushing limits and breaking things seeing as I am quite a noobie to tuning still. Better safe than sorry I guess...

Hey Mike, you're almost right. I need to be richer, not the stupid mazda. That makes me poorer.

In having said that, I have no deceleration fuel cut in place at the moment

guys, which club is running sundays event???

It's most likely not going to happen now as the car's not ready, but the Mrs willing to postpone mothers day so Stuie and i can bring my car out, she only just mentioned it even though we spoke about it a week ago and she declined

Stuies has got his cams License and is a member of IPRA, but i don't have either so i'd have suss out if i can get one by the weekend, but i do have a friend that works in the office at CAMS and my old Boss from pedders in on the state board so i might be able to swindle something there and i plan on joining MCCA anyway...

If not we plan on getting out in my car soon.... Hopefully Stuies car will see the track this year, but dont hold your breath just yet.
