If the big fella upstairs can guarantee no rain then i am looking at doing it with the new engine in. Will wait to see the forecast on the monday before making decision, otherwise will definitely be there for Nov sprint.

Could be crewing again on the Grice and Brock Toranas. Depends if they want to risk it a week before the GP.

I'm already home again.

Gumby is leading the field again, all of the RX-2's are still running strong.

I looked for you Marshall, couldn't find you, I did find the Gricey Torana next to the yellow Falcon.

So I know why I never see any RX2's about anymore........they all live on the track!

As we pulled up Sunday a group of RX2's were battling away towards the front straight. Great day for sure.

Hi,
I will be coming down from Queensland to compete in the Victorian 6 Hour Regularity Relay scheduled for the 4th and 5th August. I am a member of a 5 driver team from the Z Car Club of Qld, our club has 2 teams entered, mostly 260Z and 2000 Sports, but I will be driving my 1976 RX5, so if you are in the area please drop out and say hello, not sure if there are any other Rotaries competing. Hope the weather is fine, cold is okay but raining NO!

Excellent, do you know what team he is in? My RX5 is very close to standard factory configuration, no engine modification except electronic Dizzy and extractors, so your friend's RX7 will be quite a bit quicker then me. Do you know what lap times he usually sets, I have no idea what my car will be able to do around the Phillip Island circuit, just hope it is quicker then the cutoff lap time.

I am in the Z Car Club of QLD Team 2.

Cheers
Peter

I have no idea what the cutoff lap time is Peter, but given a couple of years ago the event was won by a bunch of stockish Hyundai Excels doing about 2:23's I think then you will be fine. I am presuming you will be on semi slicks, I estimate around a 2:12 for you due to it being your first time there. Slow is good for a regularity event - much easier to keep your times consistent
