Hey guys. Just bought an 1989 Fc series 5 rx7 And on the body plate it says "E-FC3S" as the model. Does anyone know if its a savanna possibly? Or where I can get a vin check done? My guess is calling Mazda? Thanks

Can anyone shed some light on the differences in the front indicators on various models?
I have seen some which are clear and would like to know if these are from a specific model or are simply just an after market job...
Perhaps the clear versions are from something like a convertible, infini or specific year model?
Some I've come across have been on aftermarket body kits, this is why I'm confused...
Any info would be great!

grabs popcorn

let me see if i have this right

in short..

aussie ADR has combo driving light/ indicator and the flash to pass is the headlight reflected through the clear opening

jap car has a driving light globe in the flash to pass assembly
and the lights themselves tediously pop up on flash to pass
and the indicator is all one colour
early on some jap import cars to oz used lazy eye setting on headlight to get around the ADR reg

yank car has something similar to aus but the indicator and driving light is under a clear lens
( not 100 % sure if separate globes but suspects the light that side repeats when used as indicator )

I think you may be right there.

By looking at Atkins Website they only stock the full clear ones for the later models. Gives me the impression that's what they got for all later models over there.
Then taking a look at Phil's eBay shop, they only stock the clear/orange version being Aussie... maybe that's all we got over here...
Will have to look into the different variations of models (AU,US,UK,JP/Infini/Convertible) just out of curiosity.
I'm thinking no changes because of regulations in place as you mentioned.

early s4 turbo. and the later s4/s5 turbo outer shafts comparison.

the early s4 diff has an inner stub that sits a little bit further out from the oil seal. so the outer is shorter

this one catches a few out !
