Agreed, have used Star Trak, good prices compared to some others in Adelaide.

On another note, I've tried Toll Ipec and was told that I had to have an account to send something!

Northline Freight is by far the best company I have ever used and the cheapest. Always reliable and have used them about 10-15 times now.

http://www.northlinefreight.com.au/

PS: They were more than half the cost of Bus Freight to have a set of wheels and tyres sent from Gold Coast to Sydney

I've sent an engine through Tasfreight. They were good enough to deal with, cant complain about their service, or price. They do all around australia not just to and from tasmania.
http://www.tasfreight.com.au/

Also received my 13bt from Border Express, again cant complain with them either.
http://www.borderexpress.com.au/

But aside from those two, and northlinefreight, what other companies do engine transport from private addresses, door to door? Its the door to door part I'm having trouble with.

Hope the other new ones are useful to someone!

Pack and Send - you can lick my hairy balls.

Got a price on a bare block from Sydney to Adelaide. Now depending on the depot in Adelaide (and this was for me to pickup) it was either $260 or $190! You're a bunch of CUNTS.

Looks like Northline are the go, probably half the price. Have used Border Express as well for engines with good results and prices.

Ive used ezysend b4, they were pretty good for price. Their same day pick up didnt occur though, actually took a couple of days to be picked up. That was probably the freight company that they used though not actually ezysends stuff up.

Yep, Border Express.

Got 3 boxes sent over (Sydney to Adelaide) consisting of engine parts and a dummy assembled motor. Total weight was about 100kg.

Cost $78 which I think is their minimum charge.

Settle petal. Just because they can't be competitive, not every company is equipped to ship engines :?

Got a few quotes today, Pack/Send and AirRoad wanted near enough to $95 door to door. Startrek wouldn't do it because it's private, neither would Courier's Please. Still waiting on Northline to call me back, because they don't have a depot in Canberra. Busfreight won't carry any 1 item over 20kgs.

Went with Border Express, $60ish door to door for a 25kg, .76x.26x.26 carton.

The engine was in pieces and packed in individual boxes that were placed on a pallet with other loose goods. As far as I know most companys can move pallets. Australia post would even accomodate this..........

The issue is not competition, it's being ripped off.

I've been using "AirRoad" of late for engine and a gearbox plus bits.
But on the last job (gearbox/bits) buggers hit me up an extra $60.00 packing.
