hello everyone

I have myself a 1980 series 1. according to the above info its a savanna model ( has the 180kph speedo, chrome numberplate lights, fender indicators - however these have been shaved by a previous owner, and the chrome piping on the doorcards/dash) the car was also a auto to begin with. anyway is anyone able to explain these seats to me, they have a different headrest to any other seats ive seen in a series one.

any info on them would be choice

They're not s3 seats. The head rest area is all wrong.
I recall seeing these shape seats in USA market series 1's both in cloth and in leather.

Scratch that. I just looked at some photos I took of a JDM s1 when living in Japan. It has the same seats as the photo you put up (more evidence that you have a genuine savanna), however the seats have a tartan cloth whereas yours look to have been retrimmed.

I have a JDM brochure in my hands, so depending on whether you have a GT, GT-X or SE-Limited the specs will be slightly different. Nice purchase by the way.

This thread may shed a little light until you post up what model you picked up (as well as pics 8) ).

My ultimate 1st gen Rx-7 is a white 12at SE-Limited. I'll own one one day.

GT-X

it was imported into the UK in 1984, then fitted with a full TWR kit.

It hasn't been used since 1993. Surprisingly rust free considering.

Keen to see the specs. Cheers dude.

Thanks mate, that helps a lot.

Custom metallic silver and red interior and power mirrors.

What's the difference between the GT, GT-X and SE Limited?

Any idea how many were made?

Thanks again.

Hey guys, let me start by saying this is a fantastic thread. I just got a nice little '85 s3, was told it was the limited model, but it has:-
-full electrics (minus central locking)
-Red seats, carpet, dash.
-amp'd stereo with graphic equalizer
-original space saver tyre
-tachometer to 8 grand and speedo to 210
-light silver paint with rubber buffers down both sides

Thing that throws me is the foam wing on the back, it runs the entire length of the rear glass panels. Never seen one quite the same on here or anywhere on the net.

Would post a pic but can't load it off an iPad.

Cheers for the help in advance.
