which way do your ears face when your sitting in the car? Last time i checked mine faced forward, so the front end is the most important part of the stereo. Spend the time getting the staging right, do it properly and use some nice components. 6x9's are a waste of time and are the worst speaker on the market.
I have some Boston FS60's (yes they are old

) a Vibe 12" sub and an Audison SRX3 amp and it sounds really nice

Run a nice quality set of 6' splits up front. Sound deaden the doors properly and 1 x 12 sub in the back of the car and thats all you would ever need in something this small. Anything else is just over kill for a nice street car.

Sounds like a great setup, obviously setup by someone in the know

The vibe stuff is still pretty new for me, we sell it at work and seems ok. That amp you have is awesome, I've just gotten some Hertz (sister company to Audison) hi-energy 6" splits, which I'm going to do a custom glass door lay up in my 626 in when I get some time. Running off an old DLS 4 ch I've got lying around from years ago should sound brillant, I'd love the bit One and a LRx 5.1 amp, but it's a daily and I wasn't going to go silly just want something what wasn't AM radio... gets outta hand really easy..
