So what offset are you running? I have a set of 9's for the rear and they stick out almost 2" past the fenders, obviously I have the wrong offset.

offset is of course a secret you'll have to find out the hard way (like I did) :D
but then depends if you like small tyres or not hahaha

you have any pics of these sizes on the car?

what kind of wheels are they?

The wider the wheel, the lower the offset needs to be. It also depends if you want any sort of poke or do you want it all inside the guards, how much stretch you're willing to run, if any at all and where you want it to sit in relation to the tyre and guard. It's really a case of doing alot of measuring and working out what'll work best for the type of look you want.

Asking people their offsets is often a touchy subject and they don't like to give out what they spent hours working out, just for someone to go and buy the same size wheel and get the same look with minimal effort.

f90 15" simmons

no pics till the cars finished, there are some lurking on the net somewhere. edit heres a really really shit one. Diffs shortened a shit load but thats only to get big dish. No tub work or anything like that + fronts have mighty dush

Image

as defynz said just make a cardboard wheel and get your measure game on :D
or do it the hard way like I did and acquire a shit load of simmons pieces and spend thousands

Here's a few of mine on my 808's 16x9's. Was just a test to see how the width and offsets fit and also to see how it looked. Obviously it would want to be a bit lower to pull it off(moreso up front), but as I said, there was enough room on the back for another inch on the inside......not having leaf springs in the way like on an 808 helps in that respect.

Wow PSI:100,

I love the mesh look on oldskool rotaries... I guess it's a LA thing, we see a lot meshy Enkies, Autobahns, Epsilons, SSR's and some BBS's.

But the white body coupe, black face wheels, polished lips and that red pinstripe just sets it off! looks fantastic!

also depends if you have a custom diff (ie shortened) and front brakes will make the offset for each car unique

also i may get my hands on a couple different sized outer lips to try and sit the biggest wheel i can under the rear with some big dish

Thanks Juan, but unfortunately they aren't made for that car, was just a trial to make sure another set of wheels I wanted would fit with similar measurements(won't be as pokey at the rear), I'm hoping those new wheels will be here in a week or so.

They are actually dark metallic brown centres and were made for my 808 wagon(it has a brown interior, hence the brown), but I'm thinking about stripping them to widen the fronts slightly, and repainting them a lighter brown as they are a bit dark. I can always hunt down another set and build them up for the RX2 as I think they really suited it, just needs a bit more low to pull off that particular look.

Very true, there are many other things to take into consideration, so it's best to measure everything yourself to suit your car. Can't wait to see how yours turns out George, should look great!

Wheels fitment has always been a hugely important thing to me as well. Great to see the 2 with amazing wheels.

The world of IRS is much easier to achieve flush fitment, so the challenges overcome here are pretty damn impressive :)

Keep the style ;)

Thanks guys, but unfortunately I don't have any other pics of it on those wheels as they were just on for a test fit and are now back on the 808.
