I'm leaving the southern 'burbs soon with a rotary-mad friend, followed by a Capella, and will see anyone who shows up soon.

Some photos. Unfortunately someone had set my camera to portrait so they are a bit blurry. I prefer to look at them as artistic #-o

Oh you must have gone the back way to mt Donna. If you go down warburton hwy instead there is a sealed road surface all the way up, which I believe is what the map showed. Glad you guys had a good time, sorry I couldn't make it. Did you go through reefton?

Nah - we all bailed after Warburton. It was a nice little 130km round trip though.

I might do it again in a few weeks - anyone else up for it ?

That dirt road was great the Capella loved it lol
The old girl did give up on the way home cruising down eastlink, got really hot all of a sudden and pissed coolant all over the shop.
Oh well just have to sort it out now
Thanks again and nice meeting everyone
Cheers

Great day out, had some fun on all of the roads...until my brakes decided to fade. Might be time for some new brake fluid.

Looks like a nice drive. How does the Datsun owner feel about the donation title? Could have been Ausrotary and a Datsun perhaps ;)

An interesting and well-made point there Tom Cruise. Welcome to AusRotary. Don't worry about the Datsun owner, I know their kind

Yeah but not all of us are driving new fangled supermachines. Other than the MX-5, all the cars were between 27 and 40 years old. As it was two of them ran out of brakes down Donna Buang :).

Maybe we need a 'classics' cruise and a 'modern' cruise.

ha... yeah but the mx5 is 23 years old... almost a classic. glad you all liked the hairdresser mobile!

had a great day out. met some new, cool, enthusiastic people and drove some pretty good/different roads. (much better than the mx5 crowd!)

did anyone else see that red commo ute try and overtake that blue evo while it was trying to overtake the 4wd? dropped a wheel in the dirt on the opposite side of the road... thought I was in a TAC ad.... what a fucking hero!

I would have never picked it as that old - it's a trick unit ! Glad you enjoyed the day.

Yeah that was hilarious. We had a good laugh about that one. It could have become quite nasty.
