I need to buy an optima d34 yellow top battery but the prices vary so much.

Battery world are selling them for $400 while online shops are selling them for around the $260 mark.

Where does everybody buy their optima batteries from?

Cheers

I got mine online from a site called walcann.com or something like that. They were based here in Adelaide and I just picked it up. Was around $260 if I remember correctly.
eBay is another good spot, a lot of 4wd stores on there will sell them cheap, but not usually list them. Look up 4wdextreme on eBay. He's great to deal with.

Ebay for the win. I was amazed at the prices, alot of them have free shipping too! I have bought one off ebay and so has my mate. They're great batteries. I can't remember where I got my other yellow top, but it was alot more expensive.

I paid $360 for a D34 yellow top from Power Crank batteries in Wetheril Park. That was in mid 2010. Since then a lot more people are selling them online and the prices have dropped heaps....

If you buy from Ebay make sure its from a reputable buyer. I had issues with my redtop once and I tried for weeks to get in contact with the buyer. When i was forced to contact Optima directly they said they didnt have record of the serial number of my battery so they didnt know where it came from.

If I were you I would get it from a retail shop because atleast then you have somewhere to go back and whinge to if you have dramas

What's a good cca rating for a 13bt weekend car that gets driven once every 2 to 3 weeks, think I'm gonna buy one of these from 4wdextreme too, prices are pretty good and free postage tops the deal off for me

I got this one

Optima Yellow Top D34 - $225

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/320931747556 ... 1439.l2649

Plus I gotta up rated alternator form standard (think 60-70a), so this charges it easily.

smart ebay buyers always use paypal, if your unhappy for what ever reason or the product doesnt show up they refund 100% of your money, my local stereo shop quoted me almost $400 for a yelllow top, ebay $225 incl delivery, say no more.
